Volunteer at a Senior Living Facility
A senior living facility is a campus or building where older adults live with support nearby — retirement, independent living, assisted living, memory care, or nursing. InterGen Volunteer is the platform those facilities use to post volunteer roles.
Facility is search language; senior living is the category
People type “senior living facility” when they mean a place, not a brand. The volunteer work is the same as senior home or retirement home volunteering: companionship, activities, and consistent visits under staff supervision.
You apply to a posted opportunity. The facility — the community — reviews you. You do not become staff and you do not provide care.
What a visit looks like
Check-in, ID, orientation, designated common areas. Conversation, games, music, events, or technology help. Staff remain responsible for residents. InterGen Volunteer tracks hours after the community confirms the visit.
